family fun time...
so i've not written in some time; many apologies for that! my classes started back up; the learning process is one that is taking the majority of my spare time at the moment (little thing the seminary profs deem "pre-loading"). learning great stuff i'll gladly share at some point as i sort it all out myself.
a few advertisements for some family sorts of things coming up...
next wed. night -- 30 jan 08 winter carnival @ zion!
- think outside and inside fun...inflatables for the kiddies indoors, snow sculpture contest, snow ball toss contests, sledding run (mt. zion), and some other things utilizing the weather we have been blessed with this winter! we'll have an all ages concert in the sanctuary w/ n'pink -- these guys are SUPER entertaining...starting around 7:20 or so. this should be a great night for all ages...super cheap dinner at 6 p.m., then the fun begins! if you need details or would like to help out (i'm in charge of this deal!)...email or respond to this post!
awaken -- this is a powerful, visual drama presentation of Jesus' love for us and it's coming to zion on the 23rd of february...no charge to be a part of this and be impacted in an amazing way! 7 p.m....this is a great thing for all ages and for a friend who maybe would benefit from experiencing the love of Christ in a different way!
veritas -- http://veritas-dsm.blogspot.com this is the 2x a month sunday night service we put on down @ redeemer lutheran near drake (3615 university) super laid back, simple worship, heartfelt message, genuine prayer, and a free meal afterwards! the format is different than anything we do at zion currently and is geared to speak to young adults/young families -- and it's little one friendly too! another great thing for you all and for someone looking for a genuine connection to a small group of folks wanting to know Jesus and be more like Him!
give these things some thought...more new stuff on the zfam horizon coming SOON -- keep an ear open and an eye in the bulletin...

On behalf of Awaken, I'd like to echo what Brent said. Awaken is a super powerful experience, like the mime at Riverside or Okoboji. If you're intrested in more information, visit our website.
We are very thankful for Zion and all the things you have done for us the past months, and we are very excited to bring the drama back to Zion (second year in a row!)
...wow. Didn't mean for that to sound so formal ;)
