the glory to come...

"the suffering of the present time are not worth comparing withthe glory which is to be revealed."
-- romans 8:18

the thought for today -- when we are in Jesus, saved, redeemed, and made right, we have already been glorified. the process of becoming part of God's family is begun, has happened now. we'll live here as humans, but our residence is in heaven, permanently speaking. we will have trouble -- struggle, sin, pain, brokenness, disagreements. but those things are part of the deal, part of what we'll go thru, as we reveal and proclaim the truth of who Jesus is, what that means in our lives, and how that impacts our daily movements in this world. basically, as people of heaven, our struggles will hurt but only serve to put the lens on the shining part of our lives -- that this world isn't all there is, that struggle doesn't end who we are, but rather is a "thorn in our side" as we live out what we believe.

question -- how does the reflection of God's glory shine in you? in the midst of the yuck, where do you shine?
