be a living reminder.

read a passage of a book called 'the living reminder' by henri nouwen; it speaks of us being living reminders of God, love, and His presence. in all we do, every aspect of it...if by every action we undertake we are intentional about remembering and experiencing His greatness, we become living reminders to others...whoa. that's some deep stuff...reminds me of a devotion i read one time about drinking orange juice to the glory of God. how even the mundane, normal, early morning stuff is a chance to worship if we do so w/ a spirit of thanks to the God who makes all things possible -- even orange juice. today, it's short and sweet -- be a living reminder to the world around us (to our kids, the gas station people, the folks we work with) by how we experience the day. look for the chances to worship and praise in the moment -- my coffee is a particular blessing right now! -- and be thankful to the Author and Creator who makes that stuff even exist...

read: 1 peter 2:21-25 for more thoughts on how do do this...
