I'm posting from Room 128 @ Stub Hall, Luther Seminary. We stay at Luther during our Winter intensives because Bethel's dorms are full. This dorm is like Army barracks -- not that that is bad, but they are really old. Old heat that sounds like small people are banging about inside when you turn them on, drafty old windows...just the kind of place that one might go for deconstruction and reconstruction in their faith process. I was struck by the sermon today -- the good soil could be the very ends of your rope, the frayed areas where you've got no other recourse than to trust Jesus to make everything alright. Funny how I've always thought it was the other way -- but often, when everything is 'perfect' is when I am the most hardened -- I don't need help then. These next 2 weeks might be interesting, to see where God plants as I think I've been being prepared for this in the last few weeks...

Until tomorrow!
