Live what you believe, pt. 2
What a great season to live what we believe, huh? I was thinking this morning that we, as Christians, every year are given a month to mirror what is in our hearts about Christmas to the world around us. We know it is about the Baby, not the lights. About the manger, not the gifts. About Holiness, not traditions. Those things are all well and good, and often point us towards an experience centered around Jesus, but they do become the focus. I'm not saying anything new, anything you probably have thought frequently. I do find, though, that a reminder is never a bad thing when it comes to Christmas; I am a gift getter -- I like my presents! I have to remember that no new backpack from REI compares to the gift I've been given in the coming of Jesus. I hope that by remembering this, I will live it in a real way to the world around me this year.
