Wed. nights

We started a worship thing at the end of our Wed. night programming this year. The classes dismiss around 7:30 and everyone comes to the sanctuary for a few songs and a time to pray together at the end. We weren't sure how this would work out, but thought it might be good to get everyone in one spot to sing for Jesus and pray to end the night; also thought it was a good chance for our little ones, middle ones, and adults to mill about, talk, and build some relationships. Well, all of that is happening and more. Seems like this is a Holy Spirit deal every week -- the kids are singing their hearts out; our Sr. high kids are the first ones there singing the loudest, and people are even brave enough to pray out loud.
Last night, in addition to some profound prayers by our older kids and adults, we had 3 or 4 our our littlest ones pray. Had a hard time hearing the words, but the sound of sweet little voices speaking to Jesus still makes my eyes tear up a bit. That is the kind of thing we were hoping for -- lives to be touched and people coming together into the presence of Jesus. I had no idea how good this could be...
