ONE, help, and something practical.

i was looking at the ONE campaign website yesterday, thinking that it would be really great to do something to help our world. it bothers me to have the desire to help others and then think, I'm not sure how or if i have time or...

a few weeks ago we went to a concert @ grandview. great night, great show. a rep from bread for the world was there, and spoke about a mission experience he had been on. among other things, he showed us mosquito nets -- purchased for $2 each -- that kept children from getting bitten all night in tanzania. malaria is a huge deal there, killing scores of people each year, mostly kids. and it hit me that night. $2. less than a cup of coffee at some places. way less than i paid for an evening of entertainment. $2 could keep a kid alive this year. $10 could keep 5 kids alive. you see what i'm saying...

so i emailed him and asked about it. here is a link that helps supply nets for kids who need them...

consider this a chance -- something tangible, easy, and pain-free -- to make a difference today.
