Simple thought today. I took the dog for a walk, chose to listen to a conversation by John Eldridge and a few of his friends. A thought that hit my heart like a 10 pound hammer concerning what I truly want for my kids -- not that they be super successful, that they be an engineer or artist or pastor or athlete...here it is.

1) That they walk with God.
2) That they follow their hearts.

Brings tears to my eyes, joy to my heart, hope to my mind after a weekend wrestling with friend issues, formation things, and feeling unprepared to raise a young lady who seems to be growing up right before my eyes.

May this be your desire for your kids as well.
