Resolved to what?

I wonder tonight what those first disciples must have been thinking about as they put down the nets, and devoted themselves to a life of questioning, uncertainty, and learning. What would they have had to resolve themselves to doing? Where would the calling demand that they give up, or refocus, or simply will themselves to obey? What did they anticipate in following after Jesus?

What about us -- is it the same? As we begin to walk in faith, what do we have to resolve to do or stop doing? What did you anticipate when you decided to commit to this? What came to pass? As the journey continues, what do think lies in the future for your life, the life of your family, and what you'll be asked to do as you continue to grow in faith? What will you have to resolve yourself to, are you willing to resolve to?
