Be a Blessing...part ????

This idea has been a theme that has run through my head for a LONG time now...I am certain I have posted on this in the past, and most likely will continue to as I see so much truth in it -- what better way to model a life of faith than to, out of what we've been given in Jesus, to love each other and seek to live that into someone else? Make sense in my head, anyway...

My kids had the great idea of starting a running club at their school; We call it the "Monroe Milers". Pretty simple -- we meet at the track on the playground on Mondays, start with some stretches and a walking lap, then turn the kids loose to run or fast walk for the next 25 minutes or so. The first week we had 6 kids (2 were my own); the next week, 14, and last week (week 5) we had 50 kids. All to run in a circle and burn off some energy after school. Talk about exponential growth! If we could bottle that and use it at church...I figured this was a good thing to do -- promotes a healthy thing, time with my kids, get to know their friends, invest in the school...funny thing is, in my effort to use my gift of time to bless them, I am blessed even more in return. It is so much fun to see these kids have a good time, to know they are looking forward to Monday running, and to see them smile the whole time. What a cool, cool thing.

So I guess when we seek to bless others, we often are blessed in return. I suppose that is an ok thing...
