Get up and tell the world.
So I had the chance to lead songs and be the "wind them up, turn them loose" guy for Vacation Bible School @ Zion this week. I am not normally the guy who likes to do action songs and jump about in front of a crowd (great for a person who presumably will be a pastor some day, eh?), but they needed someone, and lo and behold, here I am on Friday looking back on the week. I have to say, these kids are amazing! The leaders (many of you reading this) have done an OUTSTANDING job! The week has been an absolute blast. In fact, I usually end up on Friday fo VBS week sad because it is done. There is something about having all these little feet around here, excited, singing, and learning about the amazing love of Jesus that makes my heart so happy. Something else -- they are so willing to let everything go and have fun, and to tell others about what they are learning! Jesus wasn't kidding when He said the kingdom belongs to such as these -- the kids get that the good news is that we are set free to be ourselves, to laugh, to not worry, to embrace the awesome love of God in Jesus, and that we should not be afraid or ashamed to tell others about it. They get it. So should we.
