Stumbling into something new?

We had Veritas last night...due to Mother's day, nice weather, lack of communication, and an increase in super fun spring activities, we had a pretty low turn out. But...our prayer going in was that God would do something amazing in our midst. And I think it happened. We sang a few songs sitting in a little lounge -- almost a living room set up. The 'sermon' was more of a discussion centered around Matthew 7:6 -- giving pearls to the pigs -- and everyone weighed in once the topic was thrown out for conversation. 15 minutes later, we sang some more, ate some food, sat around together and laughed a ton. The kids ran around behind us in the lounge, we talked Jesus and I felt like it was a truly blessed time. Like what church maybe ought to be...simply relaxed, great music, a genuine conversation about the scriptures among friends, and an amazing meal and more conversation afterwards. Even our kids commented on how fun it was...

I think this maybe the niche we are trying to hit...a family set up where everyone is part of the 'message' with a little guidance up front. And talk about a great thing to model -- everyone on board and talking faith while little ears are present, in the room, part of the deal...

Interesting.
