Jesus, part ?????
I kinda like Jesus. You might have figured that out by now. But I never get tired of Him. Probably good, huh? Thing is, I love that no matter how old church and people and struggle get, Jesus never wears out. I might not want to read my Bible, but I sure do like talking with Him. My gospels class might have been my fav so far -- focused on Him expressly. Very cool to spend 10 weeks in the 4 books full of Jesus, understanding more and seeing things that I have overlooked in the past. Amazed again at who He is, the depth of His words, and the power of His message. Then Easter...watching "The Passion..." again (first time in a few years)...getting to speak in the last few weeks numerous times about what He came to do and why it is the most important thing ever...seems like He is everywhere. Conversation about how you can find all sorts of Jesus stuff for sale (bobble heads, "holy" sheets for the bed, talking Jesus who resides on our mantle at home, magic 8 ball answering the question Jesus) -- seems like it is ok to shoot at Christians and church in our society, but even those who do not choose to follow Jesus and are not interested in religion are ok with having Jesus around. That says something to me about Him...something worthy for us to consider as His followers...
I guess if you are going to have an obsession, it might be ok if it is Jesus.
