Advent Week 2

The topic this week is angels!

We read a devotion tonight about angels; it talks about angels being a way that God communicates with us. He uses a variety of mediums, but I gotta think that this is one of the more interesting and mysterious ways...they hold a pretty significant role in the Christmas story to be sure. And throughout the Bible, the angels are active and present when some pretty big things are going down. So as an introduction to this week, here are some questions for you to talk about at home!

The angels are beings created to serve God. What does this mean?

How do the angels serve God? What can you think of?

Name some of the stories you can think of that involve angels? What part did they play in the story?

What do you think they look like? Can you find Bible stories that tell us what they look like?

What about the whole guardian angel thing? How does it make you feel to know that there are angels keeping watch over you?
