5 ways to amp up your prayer life!
1) Write it down!
- keep a record of your prayers in a journal
- post a white board in the kitchen
- use sticky notes and post them where you’ll see them
2) Use pre-formed prayers!
- Follow the Lord’s Prayer

- ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication)
3) Simplify, Simply, Simplify!
- The Jesus Prayer (Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.)
- Centering Prayer – find a word or a phrase, repeat that through the day
4) Listen (asking for and expecting to hear an answer)
- this is huge! He can, will, and does answer.
- If you are NOT hearing, ask for the ability to hear
- Wait. Hope. Believe.
5) Get physical in your prayers!
- do something out of the ordinary
- walk, kneel, raise your hands, lie on the floor face down
- speak out loud
