Tuesday's thoughts...

Chilean Earthquake and unexpected effects.

Interesting read from today's Register.

Midday Prayer (Thanks Jesus Creed )

Heavenly Father, in you we live and have our being:
We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight.
Through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen. †

I like the flow and idea of prayers spaced out through the day.  I guess I'm a bit old school in my faith stuff sometimes, especially when it comes to written prayers.  While my free-flow prayers are good for my soul and mind, of late I've come back to using some form prayers as a way of focus and engagement -- trying to find connection in repetition.  We had the the joy of praying as a fam the other night the Lord's Prayer; I explained to the offspring that all around the world, Christ followers of every brand and label had prayed that prayer.  The next day, Brady asked to pray the LP on the way to school, and Kristyn proudly informed us that she prayed it at lunch before she ate.  I think something may have sunk in...pretty cool in my opinion!
