As a parent, I feel like I expect a lot from our kids. I know that at the end of the day, I'm raising kids with an eye on helping them become good adults. You know, responsible, caring, taking care of their business, being kind to others, caring about the world around them. I also know that come not only through empowering them and expecting them to contribute, but modelling. I talk about this a lot; I firmly believe that our actions -- what we show our kids we value by our time spent -- makes way more impression than our words. If they see we care, if they see we do the same things we ask of them, it will sink in. That's why this article makes me so sad...

Remember, friends. What they see and hear from and in us speaks volumes about the our character and what is in our hearts. Volumes.
