Construction.
Appears that most of Minneapolis is under construction; the 20 min. drive thru the city on I35 turned into a 40 minute circuitous route involving the west side of the city and some really crazy twists about. I'm amazed that a major artery of the city can be shut down for a time and things still work fairly well...glad I'm not driving about during rush hour! But, the cool thing is that I saw more of the city, and was introduced to a new way around town I wasn't familiar with.
My two weeks here at Bethel, actually, anyone's education process with regard to God is kind of like road construction. There are times when detours happen, when we are required to take more time to get where we want to go; we might find some new things on the way, see new sites, and be kind of anxious and annoyed at the 'inconvenience'. But the benefit is that a new pathway might open up, a new way to look at things might come about, and as a result, we grow. Pretty good stuff...
